This “modern primitive” home is located on 40 acres in the Solano County foothills of Norther California, approximately 70 miles inland from San Francisco. It is made from fire-resistant concrete and stucco with a metal roof. The home features custom columns designed by Indigo Principal Jon Hammond and a unique, two story turret with accessible roof deck. The house has several ZNE passive and mechanical systems, including, passive orientation, window shades, solar panels and water-filled culvert pipe columns and floor pipes to modulate indoor temperatures indoor temperatures in this Mediterranean climate.
