Indigo served as Executive Architect to the City of Woodland in a pure design/build arrangement for this 43,000 square-foot Essential Services Facility. The building was planned to serve as a gateway to Woodland’s revitalized historic downtown district. At the time of its Construction, the Woodland Police Headquarters was only the second green building police department in the United States!
Principal Bruce Playle put experience gained on the design/build project for the Davis Police Headquarters to use in guiding this building from needs assessment, through construction administration, to LEED certification. Indigo defined the scope, quality and performance requirements of the facility in order to obtain the best functionality in the most affordable way.
