FIREHOUSE #41 West Sacramento, CA

This firehouse is designed within the narrow footprint of an obsolete, but much loved, existing facility. Drastic improvements in the quality of living and working conditions for firefighters were accomplished within tight budgetary and regulatory parameters for this highly specialized facility. Energy savings have been accomplished through the careful placement of windows, shading devices, use of natural light and ventilation, on what will be a pre-engineered metal building. The compact facility has a public meeting room, offices, dormitory, kitchen and day room, a workshop, a first-aid room, and, of course, a fire pole!
