DAVIS POLICE HEADQUARTERS DESIGN/ BUILD Davis, CA

Indigo served as Executive Architect to the City of Davis in a design/build arrangement for this 32,000 square-foot Essential Services Facility. This process saved significant money and time for the City. Major police functions housed in this new essential services facility include patrol, investigations, youth services, crime prevention, evidence, records storage, administration, emergency operations center, and dispatch. High-efficiency environmental systems reduce energy use to 10% less than the Title 24 maximum levels. A State-of-the-art Emergency Operations Center doubles as a Community Meeting Room. Adjoining Command Conference Room, Supplies Storage, Kitchenette and plenty of wall space for maps insure functionality. Limited exposure windows permit assessment of outdoor ambient conditions during emergencies. Ample patrol and staff entry area provides access to car bag cubbies. Esprit-de-corps is enhanced since all staff will see one another here on a daily basis, providing an important opportunity for informal interaction.
