Sherwood House. Built in 1973, this Living Systems house was designed around a powerful roof pond and solar heating and cooling system. During the summer months, radiation to the cold night sky and evaporation keep the roof ponds cold and in turn cool the house keeping it cool even on 110 degree F days.
