Questions local governments should ask themselves.:
- Is your general plan no longer in compliance with greenhouse gas emissions requirements of CEQA Amendments adopted in 2009?
- Is your local government facing lawsuits over greenhouse gas emissions?
- Do energy costs hurt your local government?
If the answer is "Yes" to any of the above, your local government should consider adopting a climate action plan. Consider the following questions:
- What concerns does your local government have with climate change?
- What programs has your local government implemented?
- What city departments and external organizations have been involved in implementation of these programs?
